What is Seasmiths Fish + Chips?
We are a small Cornish family business that began in coastal Porthtowan, branching out to Wadebridge. Our aim was to keep things simple, producing well-sourced, well-cooked fish + chips and we've succeeded, winning national awards and earning a reputation for consistently good food, with legendary tartar sauce.
How did Seasmiths start?
When the family moved to Porthtowan, Jonathan, a Smith, had the idea of opening a coastal fish and chip shop that celebrated the sea and kept things simple. Seasmiths summed that up. Daughter Elsie and partner Connor took that idea further and worked with Jonathan to open up the first Seasmiths from a small premises in the heart of the village.
It was a rollercoaster ride, opening up days before the first lock-down in 2019. But we thrived and opened the second Seasmiths in Wadebridge in 2022. Today, Connor and Elsie own and run Seasmiths in Wadebridge, a much bigger business with an award winning restaurant, and Jonathan owns and runs Seasmiths in Porthtowan with Harry and Thomas, Smith, obviously.

Why Click + Collect?
When we first opened, we became very popular very quickly but nobody, including us, enjoyed the long queues as we did our best to consistently deliver the quality we were becoming known for. So we devised and continue to refine with Harry's coding skills, a click and collect system that means nobody waits for longer than a few minutes for their perfectly cooked fish + chips.
